Biography

Born and living in Worthing, West Sussex, Derek's love of photography started in 1996, when he brought his first 35mm SLR camera, and has been hooked ever since.
After a change in career in 1998, Derek has put his time and effort into his photography, studying books about all aspects of photography, such as composition, light etc.

Much of Derek’s pictures are based around the stunningly picturesque Sussex coast and countryside, with also pictures from around the UK and abroad.

In 2000, he held his first local photographic exhibition of Fine Art Landscapes, and has held at least two photographic exhibitions per year ever since; where his prints and pictures have been purchased by people from all over the world.

A major Card Company, Images & Editions uses Derek's images which are sold through a number of retail outlets.
His Images are now obtainable from two major Internet libraries, Alamy and PPL Media's South of England picture Library.

"Since taking a career in photography, I have travelled to many places such as Cornwall, North and South Wales, and the Lake District Cumbria and most recently Croatia and Italy; seen breathtaking scenery and the most colourful sunrises and sunsets.
I have held 10 exhibitions and have sold Fine Art prints and Fine Art pictures to people living in far away places such as America, Canada and New Zealand. I hope I have given people a great deal of pleasure though my pictures."
